Uzalo has been airing on SABC1 since 2015 and has emerged as SA’s most-watched TV series. New episodes of the drama series are aired from Mondays to Fridays on the TV channel at 20h30. The recently released episodes for December 2022 still maintain compelling, narrative storylines as Nkunzi’s anger leads him to take drastic measures.
Mrs Madlala, on the other hand, decides to take her shot with Bongz. Undoubtedly, last month‘s episodes of Uzalo ended on a dramatic note. Biyela is being asked by Lilly to distract Nyawo so she can interrogate the perpetrator to try and absolve Mondli.

MaMlambo and Mrs Ngema seem to be displeased with the treatment they receive at KwaMashu Police Station. While James uncovers a shocking truth about the decision he made, Biyela and Lilly go all out to help Mondli. Nosipho’s suspicions about Nkazimulo’s shenanigans are appeased by Nonka.

Hlelo might be coerced into cancelling the most exciting part of the Talent Competition. Nosipho is shocked as her suspicions are confirmed.

Colonel Mabaso promises the perpetrator a maximum of three months, and then he will be released. Lilly vows to do everything she can to help Mondli. And Nkazimulo rocks the boat with questions about Muzi’s real father.

Episode 207: Monday, December 19th, 2022
Nosipho is apparently not getting her dream wedding. However, a party with colleagues brings back some joy. While Mrs Madlala realises she has stiff competition for Bongz’s affections, Mthambisi also realises that his problems are far more significant than what the police uncover.

The walls are closing in on Nkazimulo, and Mrs Madlala tries to win Bongz’s affection. Meanwhile, Nomaswazi has a surprising proposal for Mondli and the Magwazas to start planning Putin’s demise.

Gabisile is shocked by Nkunzi with a question she was not expecting during the Christmas feature photoshoot.

Nkazimulo’s unplanned confession puts Nosipho in complete shock. Finally, Gabisile decides which man’s arms she prefers to be wrapped in. And Hlelo is unsure about leaving KwaNjomane anymore.

Gabisile is back from Cape Town and gives Nkunzi some answers. Nosipho confesses to Gwala about Nkazimulo’s suicide attempt and threats. And, MaMlambo enlightens Nkunzi that he has already lost Gabisile.

Finally, Bongz gives in and takes Mrs Madlala out on a date. The truth about the affair comes out in the open. Then, Nkazimulo’s disappearance causes tension between Pastor Gwala and Nosipho.

While Nosipho is pained by the accusations thrown at her, Pastor Gwala is riddled with guilt when he uncovers what his son is going through. Mbatha refuses to award a long-serving member of the church. A pained Nkunzi takes his eyes off the road and accidentally hits something or someone.

Mzimba steals from Mbatha. Nomaswazi refuses to give Mondli any more information. Nosipho has no one to share Muzi’s first kick with.

The teasers for this last December 2022 episode of Uzalo are: Nosipho goes against her belief to seek help. Nkunzi’s anger leads him to take drastic measures, and then, the looming NYE party is the talk of the town.
Uzalo Has Been on Air For Over Six Years
Debuting on SABC1 in the year 2015, Uzalo instantly became a hit despite having a relatively unknown cast at the time. The soapie is produced by Stained Glass Productions, which is co-owned by Gugu Zuma-Ncube and Kobedi Pokane. It is currently in its eighth season and was created by acclaimed producer Duma Ndlovu.
Uzalo producers are Khumbulani and Hlongwane, while Mmamitse Thibedi and Gontse Lekgetho work as the executive producers of the multi-award-winning South African TV series.
Uzalo Actors that Left or Joined in Season 8
In November 2022, it was announced by Uzalo publicist Nomfondu Zondi that actress Omuhle Gela, who played Nomaswazi Magwaza, would no longer be part of the show. This is a result of a disagreement in contractual terms. Also, Pastor Gwala (Menzi Biyela) and Nosipho (Nompilo Maphumulo) will not be returning to Uzalo in the 9th season as their contracts weren’t renewed.
The two actors will leave the show at the beginning of season nine in early 2023. Idols SA star Sneiziey then joined the soapie as a singer at the KwaMashu Kingdom Church in November 2022.
