Skeem Saam is a South African Television series that clearly outlines the trials and tribulations that young people, young men, have to navigate on their way to attaining true independence, financially or otherwise.
The message of Skeem Saam is simple and centered on the premise that a man is not a man because biology dictated as much, but a man becomes a man through his individual experiences. Skeem Saam is set primarily around Turfloop’s rural area outside Polokwane.
Since its premiere, it has become one of the most viewed shows in South Africa today, continuously churning up remarkable storylines and twists.
