BuzzSouthAfrica gathered that Wilder died on Sunday in Connecticut as a result of complications from Alzheimer’s disease.

According to Walker-Pearlman, Wilder was diagnosed with the disease three years ago. However, he kept the condition private so as not to disappoint his fans or make them feel sad. He simply couldn’t bear the idea of one less happy person in the world.

Prior to his death, he continued to enjoy art, music and kissing with his lady of the last twenty-five years, Karen. He had once danced down a church aisle at a wedding as the parent of the groom and ring bearer, held countless afternoon movie western marathons and always loved to be in the company of loved ones. Generally, he was simply full of life.
