We Miss You Already Pearl Thusi


After much ado about the topic, it has been confirmed that TV star Pearl Thusi will no longer return to Metro FM.

Following her international gig on US drama series Quantico, alongside international star Priyanka Chopra, Pear bid farewell to Metro FM.

Managing director of Capacity Relations, Sarit Tomlinson confirmed the news. The agency representing Tv star Pearl Thusi said that it is highly unlikely for Pearl to return to South Africa this year.

“She’s no longer there (Metro FM). She’s going to be in New York for a while, she definitely won’t be back this year,” she said.

Previously, Pearl indicated on her Instagram that she is currently in New York and has started filming for the drama series

In addition, Pearl had kinda dropped some hints that she will no longer return to the station. This was deduced in her statement to U.S beauty and lifestyle publication Hello Beautiful about what the future holds for her in America.

Besides, a tweet from a fan on the show that said “Pearl come back. You are so beautiful,” had the actress responding; “I ain’t coming back, girl. What! No, look. I’ll come visit. If I have to come back home there’s a part of me that’s going to feel like I really didn’t conquer. “

Meanwhile, Pearl is playing Dayna Mampasi in the new season of the series. After her Quantico gig, the actress is expected to appear in the local biopic Kalushi – The Story of Solomon Mahlangu.

Following Pearl’s exit, co-host on Metro FM, Phat Joe announced his resignation from his much-publicised gig. He moved on to KwaZulu-Natal’s commercial station;    East Coast Radio.

He hosts the daily afternoon drive show weekdays, on the radio station from 3pm to 6pm.
