The Search SA Winner: Katleho Sinivasan Takes The E! Host South Africa Title


The Search SA winner was announced at a glamorous event at Taboo in Sandton with some of SA’s favourite celebs gracing the E! red carpet to celebrate the winner of The Search: E! Host South Africa.

26-year-old presenter Katleho Sinivasan from Soweto beat all odds to become the first winner of E! Entertainment’s reality presenter search competition, The Search SA. He beat fellow finalist Abigail Visagie to clinch the title.

Following a gruelling competition, The Search SA winner of The Search: E! Host South Africa was announced.
The six-part reality competition saw eight raw talent compete to become the first E! South Africa host.

In the show, contestants were judged on their ability to host on the red carpet as well as critique fashion. In addition, to several other challenges, they were given an opportunity to sell themselves.

For their final task, the finalists had to be a true E! correspondent on the red carpet at the South African Style Awards. At this point, each finalist went into the round with a clean slate bearing in mind that no previous success or failure during the competition would contribute to their success.

Eventually, TV presenter Katleho Sinivasan survived both living in the mansion and the challenges that came with the competition. Thus, he was crowned winner of the search.

Katleho will now take up the role of African correspondent for E! Entertainment. His new awesome job will introduce him to an international family that includes Zuri Hall, Jason Kennedy, Kat Sandler, and Ryan Seacrest.

In addition to the contract with E!, Katleho also won a trip to Los Angeles to visit the rest of the E! family. He will also host the SAFTAs red carpet with Bonang Matheba.
