Though we are not sure if the Metro FM presenter reshuffle affected Robert Marawa, he has reassured fans that he is comfortable where he is and is not going anywhere.
This follows the widespread speculation that the sports presenter will be leaving the radio station to join Tbo Touch’s online radio Touch HD.
The annual shakeup at Metro FM station has hogged headlines over the past week. The Metro FM presenter reshuffle ruffled a few feathers with presenter Bonang Matheba tendering her resignation letter after three years with the public broadcaster.
While there were rumours that Bonang might be joining Touch HD, Robert fueled similar thoughts that he could be moving to the online radio.
Moreover, when Robert was absent from his regular radio slot earlier this week, fans wondered whether the sports personality was affected in the major reshuffle.
Nevertheless, Robert has waved the speculation away, saying that Metro FM is his home.
“Metro FM is my home and unless the management has taken a decision to remove me I will remain there.”
Also, SABC spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago confirmed that Robert is not making any plans to leave Metro FM as they had not received a resignation letter from him.
However, Kaizer would not reveal the reason behind Robert’s absence from his show. Instead, he suggested that he was taking a time off.

“It is no different to any other industry where people take time off to rest or keep other commitments. People should not be concerned. We will communicate any changes to our lineup to the media,” Kaizer said.
Last month, Tbo Touch fueled speculation over Robert’s future with his online radio when he invited him to dinner over Twitter, suggesting that they had business deals to discuss.
Touch has sworn to take all the big shots from the public broadcaster to his online radio.
