War Against Drugs: Euphonik Launches Initiative To Get Addicts Off The Streets

Various reasons can deter drug addicts from getting the help they need, thus, DJ Euphonik has come out as a knight in shining amour to change someone’s life.

In the bid to fire up the war against drugs, he plans to personally sponsor an addict to rehab, thereby helping them get off the streets and do more productive things in the future.

DJ Euphonik announced the initiative this week. His main target is to give hope to those who are struggling with drug addiction. Meanwhile, he has already done his homework on the issue and made some discoveries.

“I am always looking for opportunities to do random acts of kindness and often I am led to people I can help through other people. Recently I was speaking to a guy who told me about the difficulties of getting someone into rehab so I decided to help,” Euphonik said.

Apparently, booking someone into rehab is not as easy as it sounds. According to Euphonik, it can cost as much as R120,000 to get the help an addict needs from a rehab. This is probably why it’s difficult for someone who might need it the most to get in.

Regardless, the radio jock is ready to do what it takes to save an addict from apparent doom.

“It is expensive for addicts or their families to get help and often poverty prevents people from getting help. So I will sponsor the entire process from them booking to rehab to their recovery afterwards,” he said.

So far, Euphonik has been swamped with letters from interested individuals. He has already received more than 60 letters requesting help.
