ANC Big Shots Reveal The Detailed Plans They Have For Zuma After Elections

Some ANC big shots are crafting bold plans to oust Jacob Zuma as ANC President and the President of South Africa as soon as the local government elections are over.

The circulating report said that the ANC big shots, some of whom are based at Luthuli House have been secretly, selling a “Zuma exit plan” to branches, regions and provinces opposed to Zuma’s continued leadership.

As revealed, these ANC big shots are known to Sunday Times. And one of them at Luthuli House told the media outlet at ANC’s election manifesto in Port Elizabeth that the “Zuma exit plan” among other things, included instructing ANC branches to stop the public calls for Zuma’s resignation until after the local government election.

The big shot explained that they want Zuma to resign as well, but are concerned that removing him could cost the ANC votes in certain areas where the president remains popular.

“We are saying to comrades, let us focus on elections now. We have a big task at hand. Let us finish that first. We need to buy time and act only after the elections. We are giving [Zuma] a long rope to hang himself,” the big shot reportedly stated as he further related that the ANC branches would be encouraged to intensify their calls for Zuma’s resignation immediately after the elections.

With the intensified calls for Zuma’s resignation, the ANC structures will thereafter, petition the office of the party’s secretary-general to convene an early elective congress.

According to the ruling party’s constitution, only an elective conference can choose a new ANC president. And, at least five provinces must request a special conference before the party’s national executive committee can convene one.

Meanwhile, it was also revealed that the Pro-Zumas also have their own plan which includes “an attempt to discredit the judiciary by distributing an ‘intelligence report’ that links judges to a plot to overthrow the government.”
