The 2017 Entelect challenge is on for those who wishes to add some Rand into their pocket ahead of the trying economic periods.
The organizer of the competition announced that entries have been open for yearly challenge with R200,000 total prize to be given to successful individuals art the end of the programme.
We have officially launched a new challenge for the year, Entelect 2017 says, adding that this time the challenge will be based on the classic battleship.
Hence, those interested and who believe they are capable to face the challenge to get started on the website and head on over to the Github Repository6 for instructions on building their bot.
“We also have a shiny new forum, so please feel free to post any questions here. That way we can all participate in assisting each other as a community.
“Lastly, we have a slightly different format this year, with multiple competitions running during the year and a game engine that will be changing and improving as well. So visit the forums frequently to find out about the latest announcements and game engine releases.” says one of the 2017 Entelect Challenge coordinator who also noted that the player portal will be launching soon with an entirely new clans feature, so be on the lookout for that!
“This year, we have introduced a mini-playoffs series, a staggered strategy component, and a webinar series with hands-on tutorials,” said Entelect Challenge Team Lead Tomislav Ravić who also noted that the event will be hosted at rAge 2017 in October.
Competitors must use their coding abilities to compete for the prize and will be provided with a starter pack – which includes resources and sample programs.
The 2017 Entelect Challenge prize money will be split among the mini playoffs and finals. The prizes for the finals are:
- First place – R70,000
- Second place – R35,000
- Third place – R25,000
