According to several US publications, American TV star Selena Gomez is liable to earn up to $500,000 for a single sponsored social media post.
Current data released by measurement company D’Marie Analytics confirmed Selena Gomez as the queen bee of digital buzz.
The multi-talented artist is perhaps one of the most influential celebrities alive with a reach of 200 million followers on social media.
With that much fans on Twitter; Instagram and Facebook, Selena bags a whopping $500,000 for a single social media post.
Aside the fact that Selena could charge brands a the aforementioned jaw-dropping amount for a post, it has reportedly increased incredibly from 2015.
December last year saw Selena’s posts apparently valued at about $230,000.
Frank Spadafora, the CEO of the data measurement company, explained how they arrived at the amount calculated. He said:
“The rate-per-post is her ‘ad equivalent’ value per post across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. This may be different than how much she is actually getting paid when participating in social media campaigns. That is up to negotiations between her agents and the brands.
“This valuation is based on D’Marie’s algorithm which measures 56 metrics including followers, post frequency, engagement, quality of post, click-thru and potential to create sales conversions from her social content.”
Evidently, a particular due process is followed in order to measure the monetary value per post. This is done by looking at factors such as the number of followers, engagement, and the potential to get sales out of a particular post.
Compared to other sizzling hot female pop stars like Rihanna, Beyoncé and Taylor Swift and the Jenners, Selena Gomez stands in the No. 1 slot.
Selena Gomez currently has deals with popular brands like Coca-Cola, Pantene and Kmart and the list continues. She is indeed the real “it” girl.
