Tongues were wagging on Twitter after popular sports presenter Robert Marawa publicly accepted Thabo “Tbo Touch” Molefe’s dinner invitation.
Touch tagged Marawa in a tweet early on Wednesday. He appeared to be making an attempt to lure the renowned presenter from Metro FM to his very popular internet radio station.
Twitter users couldn’t help but react when he tweeted Marawa and said; “let’s have dinner tonight courtesy of #TouchHD.”
Speculations started flying around when Marawa later responded to Touch’s tweet saying; “Time?‚ Place?‚ Menu?‚ will pay for my own meal though.”
The sports presenter also retweeted Molefe’s original tweet.
Consequently, the popular sports presenter started trending with some Twitter users speculating that he could join the new internet radio station called Touch HD.
Touch’s tweet came after confirming on Wednesday that veteran deejay Glen Lewis is joining his new online radio, leaving Metro FM after 22 years of service.
The radio DJ is leaving Metro FM to join his former colleague Tbo Touch at his online radio station dubbed Touch HD.
The migration was confirmed by Touch HD spokesperson Lulu Ndevu who said that both Glen Lewis and Tim Modise joined the station. The station aims at getting the best in the business on board.
Again, Tbo Touch has promised to announce more big names who will join his crew in the coming days. Who knows, Marawa might just be the next in line.
The new additions to the line-up come as Touch makes big plans for the station. A whopping R28 million was reportedly used by the media mogul to relaunch the station. The name of the station was also changed from TochCentral to Touch HD.
