South African model Refilwe Modiselle has fired shots at a supposed event organiser who sent a rather strange email with a weird request to her.

Apparently, Refilwe was not impressed with what she had to read from the email. The event organiser that introduced himself as Tshepo blatantly asked her to put together a group of ‘albinos’ for his event.

According to Tshepo, he will be needing at least ten of them for an end of the year event which he is putting together. And oh, he was kind enough to promise to provide “transport and food” for the “group of albinos” who will be coming for the occasion.

Listen if I ever get an email like this messing with my people I will come guns blazing (figuratively)💣😠💣. Ladies & gentlemen this is how people with albinism get taken for granted. It's not just in campaigns where you get asked for a group & get paid peanuts & get told it's exposure, but requests like this that continue to devalue who we are. Why it is I fight so hard for the dignity & respect of my people. A "BASH" he calls a year end function & then the specifics 😔. The Jacob I'm aware of doesn't even know about this & would never endorse such. My response will have left one to think twice about even attempting to send me something of this nature. Don't ever…. we are not extra terrestrial to decorate events. #EnoughSaid

Fuming with anger, Refilwe took to Instagram on Thursday and shared a screenshot of the email. I mean, who would blame her fror taking the email personal. She threatened fire and brimstone on anyone who would dare go around “messing with [her] people”.

Thus, she wrote;

“Ladies & gentlemen this is how people with albinism get taken for granted. It’s not just in campaigns where you get asked for a group & get paid peanuts & get told it’s exposure, but requests like this that continue to devalue who we are.”

The TV personality who happens to be living with albinism sent a clear warning to anyone who might want to send her similar requests. She strongly wants to change the stereotype of people living with the condition as abnormal beings.

Refilwe Modiselle is the first South African professional fashion model with albinism. Her career which started when she was 13 has evolved into a huge success.
