Young and dynamic food enthusiast Siba Mtongana has happily announced the arrival of her new baby today. The presenter wrote on her Facebook page that she and her family now have an addition whose name is Buhlebe Nkosi. Her post reads;
“Hi family‚ yesterday morning we were blessed with a beautiful princess Buhlebe Nkosi Mtongana‚ aka Buhle. Her name is based on our life testimony which means the Goodness of the Lord‚” the celebrity television presenter and food writer wrote on Facebook.”
Appreciating her Facebook friends as well her viewers, Siba said that she and her little girl are doing well.
“I’m doing well and the baby also fine! Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. P.S. A girl finally (celebratory emoticons). Much love‚ Siba.”
Siba is a graduate of Food and Consumer Sciences graduate and through her popular program Siba’s Table, she has been able to add style and charisma not only to south African dishes, but also to South African TV.
Siba had earlier revealed that her passion for cooking grew while watching her mother cook most of the South Africa dishes.
‘I learnt how to cook from watching my mother,’ the 28-year-old beauty says. ‘Once, when she was making umphokoqo – what most know as phutu pap or krummelpap served with maas – she took a pinch of salt, weighed it in her hand and added it to the water. I asked how much salt it was – a tablespoon, a teaspoon?…You just feel it with your hand.” She said
Adding to her passion in what she does now, she is deeply rooted in Christianity and under the loving guidance of mother Noliza (a retired school teacher) and father Mncedise (who worked in the leather manufacturing industry).
Siba‚ originally from Mdantsane in East London‚ gave birth to her older boys‚ in 2012 and 2014 respectively. She recently published a cook book and her television show is broadcast in 90 countries including the USA.
During her pregnancy periods, Siba and her family in Cape town expressed their excitement at expecting a new baby.
“I am expecting a baby girl – we are over the moon with excitement!!! We believe children are a blessing from God and it’s such a special thing being able to have them and have the capacity to take of them as well – holistically!”
We say a big congratulations to the Mtongana family and pray for long life and sound health for both our Siba and Buhlebe Nkosi.
