Rumors about the physical appearance of Mama Winnie at her birthday bash have continued to make the rounds in the country barely six days after the diamond-like ANC stalwart celebrated her 80th birthday.
No doubt, Winnie stole the show last Wednesday, during her birthday gala dinner held at the picturesque Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel in Cape Town.
However, her dazzling appearance seemed to have left many confused and curious, as her mind-boggling look had the social media abuzz with questions on whether she did cosmetic surgery, considering the fact that she looked 20 years younger than her celebrated years.
An assertive social media user with the name @Pmalimo posted:
During the glamorous event, Deputy President Ramaphosa even admitted that Madikizela-Mandela has an everlasting beauty like a diamond.
He happily opined that EFF leader Julius Malema (who was also present) agrees with him that Winnie’s beauty is everlasting; although he disagrees with Malema on so many things.
Unfazed with the annoying rumors, Winnie has laughed off the speculation that she had plastic surgery, skin bleaching and Botox.
Mama Winnie Gets Support From Her Family
Throwing her weight behind her grandmother on the social media, Zoleka, her granddaughter slammed Winnie’s critics. She disclosed that after a lengthy chat with her gran about the rumour, she realised that Winnie had no surgery.
“This is us last night talking about all the rumours regarding the plastic surgery, skin bleaching and Botox she’s supposedly had done!!! The memes circulating too, she finds those as ridiculously funny as the gossip! In the words of my mother/Queen in law, Maman Regine, ‘get a life,” Zoleka wrote on Instagram.
Her daughter, Zindziswa, also defended her mother on Twitter, dissing the rumours. She posted:“It’s Pure African beauty, no injections or fillers.”
Nevertheless, while many curious meddlers may like to go a further length to uncover the secret of Mama Winnie’s breathtaking look at her birthday gala dinner. I hope they won’t forget the former politician’s statement about her beauty during a pre-birthday interview.
BuzzSouthAfrica recalls that she denied knowing the secret that lies in her own beauty. In fact, she insisted that her beauty is tied to her genes.
