Several countries have continued to record ridiculous and most absurd reasons for murder. Last month, a police officer shot and killed his wife before turning the gun on himself during an argument at their home in Bloemside. The 45-year-old warrant officer shot his wife while she tried to run out of the house.
Also, a man appeared in an Eastern Cape court on Tuesday for allegedly killing another man in a fight over a beer in Kantolo village, Centane, in July. Xolile Dlabantu, 52, allegedly stabbed Masixole Sonti, 40, in the chest over the weekend after an argument erupted between the two.
In 2015, a man gave up the ghost after he was alleged hit with a hammer under the left arm for jumping the queue in the popular Fishaways takeaway in Links Hill shopping mall, Waterfall.
