Award-winning comedienne Tumi Morake is joining the cast of local hit telenovela The Queen.
She will make her debut on the hit Mzansi Magic show on June 7. Tumi will star as Aunty Dolly, Harriet Khoza’s (Connie Ferguson) BFF.
Judging from the look on her face, Dolly seems like she’s coming with a lot of drama.
So far, we know that the two characters, Dolly and Harriet struggled and hustled together in life. Dolly reminds Harriet of what true friendship means because she loves Harriet and her children with no limits.
Personally, Dolly is described as a hustler, a woman who knows how to get whatever she wants, whenever she wants it.
In addition, Dolly is loud and colourful with a free spirit. She has always had a crush on Brutus (Themba Ndaba) and doesn’t really get along with Kgosi (Sello Maake Ka-Ncube). Surely, there’s no better person for the role than comedienne Tumi Morake who seems like a ball of fun.
Evers since it aired for the first time, The Queen had viewers waiting impatiently for the next episode. The series is currently in season two and has remained one of Mzansi Magic’s most successful telenovela till date. Again, with its amazing storylines and more A-list stars joining and doing cameo appearances, the show’s ratings go only go higher.
Meanwhile, Tumi will be joining forces with TV personality Somizi Mhlongo to host this year’s South African Music Awards (SAMAs).
Surely, the combination of Somizi Mhlongo who never allows a dull moment around him and Tumi will be the bomb. They will guarantee a lot of laughter and fun at Sun City Superbowl as the movers and shakers of the music industry are honoured later this month.
