Formerly known as Puff Daddy earlier in his career, rapper-turned-businessman P Diddy topped the list of 100 world’s highest-paid celebrities in the past year.
This is according to the latest list released by Forbes. Diddy edged out closest competitor Beyonce who appeared second on the list. The famous rapper whose real name is Sean Combs earned $130 million in the past 12 months.
However, the eye-popping amount did not come from his musical career alone. In fact, $70 million came from selling a one-third stake in his Sean John clothing line.
Beyonce came second on the list of 100 world’s highest-paid celebrities. She raked in $105 million after her lucrative Formation tour. The tour was filled with amazing performances that followed her Lemonade album.
JK Rowling who is the author of Harry Potter, who also published a series of e-books last year, completed the top three. She sits at $95 million, making her the highest-paid celebrity outside of music.
The list of 100 world’s highest-paid celebrities also includes a few non-Western celebrities. Hong Kong martial arts film legend Jackie Chan at number 39 and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan at 65.
While you all are waiting for paychecks at the end of the month, these celebrities are busy raking in millions.
