In July 2018, it was reported that MacG’s girlfriend and baby mama opened a case of assault against him at the Midrand police station the previous month. She claimed that he kicked and beat her to a pulp after an argument. Naledi Monamodi sustained major injuries on her face as a result of the incident.
After her police report, MacG was arrested and spent a night at the police station’s cell. He, afterward, appeared at the Midrand Magistrate’s Court before Naledi withdrew the charges against him and the case was closed.
