Skylene Montgomery is a Former Beauty Queen
Skylene Montgomery spent her formative years in Parkesburg and attended Parkersburg South High School. As a child, she was naturally kind. She was also a tomboy. Her regular outfits consisted of baggy shorts and Nike t-shirts.
She also spotted a bowl cut hairstyle. Montgomery’s mom tried to soften her by enrolling her in dance lessons but the little girl didn’t really thrive in it. She rather excelled in sporting activities such as volleyball and softball.
Skylene would later ditch her tomboy ways in favor of more feminine looks during her early teen years. Her natural beauty shone through and she enrolled in her first beauty pageant – Miss Teen West Virginia- at the age of 14. She came second and this encouraged her to forge ahead.
All through high school and even thereafter, Skylene Montgomery enrolled in several more beauty pageants and accumulated scholarships. In 2007, she eventually won the title of Miss West Virginia USA. It was a wonderful achievement and she represented her state on the national stage in Las Vegas in 2008.

Skylene Montgomery’s next stop was the St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Huntington where she studied nursing for some months. She later transferred to West Virginia University and completed a degree in nursing in the mid-2010s.
Since completing her degree, she has worked as a nurse at places such as the gastrointestinal intensive care unit at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. She also returned to school, specifically, Loyola University, and completed a master of science degree in nursing in 2022.
