Jennifer Lucas (born January 19, 1972) is an American TV producer and writer who is primarily known as the wife of Byron Allen, a businessman, comedian, and television producer.

It is not every time we see someone in the entertainment industry receive popularity not for her works in Hollywood but rather for her marriage. This is the case with Jennifer Lucas who despite being a TV and film producer is best known for her marriage to Byron Allen. Allen, like his wife, has an active career in the entertainment industry.
He is the head of his own production company, Entertainment Studios, also known as Allen Media Group. Jennifer has been married to Allen since 2007 and the private couple has stayed together since then, parenting three kids away from the spotlight.
Jennifer Lucas Is A Native of Minneapolis
Jennifer was born Jennifer Ann Lucas on the 19th of January 1972 in Minneapolis to a father named Robert Lucas and a mother named Cheri Lucas. Her mother who is originally from Los Angeles worked at the Chancellors Office Communications at the University of California until her retirement in December 2017.
Lucas was raised by her parents in Minneapolis which happens to also be her father Robert’s hometown. It is not known which high school she attended but Jennifer is a graduate of St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minn. She has two siblings, one brother named Randy and a sister named Allison Lucas. Her siblings, much like herself live away from the limelight as nothing is known about them.
She Tied The Knot and Became Byron Allen’s Wife in 2007
Jennifer Lucas married Byron Allen on the 1st of September 2007 in Beverly Hills California. Their wedding which was held at the Hotel Bel-Air was officiated by Robert A. Ringler, a deputy commissioner of civil marriages for Los Angeles County.
The ceremony was attended by about 120 guests which included industry bigwigs like Natalie Cole and Eddie Murphy. For her big day, Lucas wore a white tube wedding gown by Carolina Herrera. Planned by Mindy Weiss, the wedding reception hall looked like something from a fantasy movie decorated with thousands of red roses.
For dessert, guests at the wedding were served with a five-tiered cake with two flavors – vanilla cake with dark chocolate filling and dark chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling. Lucas would later tell People Magazine that it was a romantic and meaningful ceremony to mark the beginning of forever with Byron. Her husband also gushed to People that he could not wait to see his wife walk down the aisle.
Jennifer Lucas was 35 years old at the time of their wedding while Byron was 46 years old. At the time, she had begun working as a supervising producer at Byron’s Entertainment Studios. It was reported that Lucas kept her last name after the wedding. Their marriage came 6 years after their first meeting in 2001. The Hollywood businessman popped the question in December 2006 when they visited Maui, Hawaii.

He has been active in entertainment since the late 1970s when he started out as a stand-up comedian at just 14 years old. He later began a show Jammin’ which was picked up as Kickin’ It with Byron Allen and had a successful run of 21 seasons. Byron Allen is fast turning into a media mogul, his production company purchased The Weather Channel from NBC Universal. He has also made a move to acquire Fox Sports Networks.
Jennifer Lucas’ Oldest Child, Chloe Is 15 Years Old
So far, Jennifer Lucas and her husband have been blessed with three lovely kids. Their first child, a daughter named Chloe Ava Allen was born on the 22nd of August 2008. Months to Chloe’s arrival, the couple announced that they were expecting in an exclusive interview with People Magazine.
The couple revealed to People Magazine that they were having a girl and that they were really excited. They also said it was one of their ultimate wishes to have children and that the timing was perfect. The ace TV producer also added that her husband Byron would be an amazing and phenomenal dad. Though they revealed Chloe’s due date to be the 29th of August, she arrived 7 days earlier on the 22nd at 2.15 pm. She weighed 7 lbs 14 oz and was 20 inches long.
Two years later, Lucas and her husband welcomed their second child, a daughter named Olivia Rose Allen on the 7th of April, 2010. She arrived at 12.11 pm and weighed 8 lbs 7 oz, the baby measured 20.5 inches long.
The couple’s last and third child, a son they named Lucas Byron Allen was born on the 11th of December, 2012. He weighed 7 lbs 10 oz at birth and measured 20 inches long.
Though the couple raises their kids away from the limelight, they occasionally appear alongside their parents at select movie premieres, especially the ones produced by their dad’s Entertainment Studios.
Jennifer Lucas Is A TV Producer and Writer
Right after college graduation, Jennifer Lucas began working in the movie industry and today, she is a successful TV producer with a long list of credits to her name. Records of her work are available from not earlier than 2001 when she produced an episode of the TV series, Dismissed. In total, she has produced no less than 28 works, including movies and several episodes of TV shows.
Her first long-term work as a producer was on the show, Comics Unleashed, where she produced 49 episodes. She would then produce a number of TV documentaries, including Every Woman and Beautiful Homes & Great Estates. Some of her other TV shows include Justice for All with Judge Cristina Perez, Supreme Justice with Judge Karen, The First Family, and Mr. Box Office.
