He is the youngest child of Lindiwe Dambuza and Menzi Mcunu and the brother of Zonke Nkabinde, a sales account manager and an area channel executive at Cell C. She previously worked as Senior Key Account Manager at Liquid Telecom.

Lasizwe is also related to the South African actress, musician, television presenter, and socialite Khanyi Mbau. The two are half-siblings; they share the same father and have different mothers.

Among his two sisters, he is very close to Zonke as she played crucial roles alongside their mother in his upbringing. In fact, she was the one who first discovered that Lasizwe is gay, and so she did her best to protect him from people who might end up hurting him.

Lasizwe’s Father Was Absent In His Life While Growing Up

The YouTuber’s father, who also fathered many other kids with different women, was absent in his life as a young boy. He was never part of his life as he never maintained one relationship, leading to his mother singlehandedly raising him in Soweto with the help of his elder sister Zonke.

Lasizwe’s father was never married to his mother. The two were dating when Lindiwe fell pregnant with his child. Mcunu passed away on September 20th, 2020, and he was laid to rest five days later.

Prior to his death, the YouTuber reconnected and had some memorable moments with him after eventually bonding for years.

Lasizwe’s Mother Died in 2016

Lasizwe’s mother was instrumental in his journey to greatness as an entertainer. She started taking him to auditions for TV roles in his primary school.

At a point, she continued taking him around the city for auditions due to financial constraints, and so she encouraged him to start taking part in competitions that give away audio-visual equipment or phones.

Dumbuza started creating his first batch of social media content with the phone he won in a radio competition. He also learned basic video editing with his mother’s laptop and would usually store the videos on DVD discs.

He was so impressed and excited each time he watched him on the TV screen as a young boy. It was his enthusiasm and yearning to be on the screen that motivated him to become an entertainer.

The lines eventually fell for him in pleasant places, and today he is one of the youngest and highest-earning content creators in South Africa with a jaw-dropping net worth.

Lindiwe disconnected from her son for almost six months. However, she eventually came around to accepting her son’s sexuality. Lasizwe claimed that the absence of a father figure and the fact that he had many women around him as a young boy contributed to his being gay.

He shared that he learned how to pee like a man after watching boys pee in a kid TV program. He was doing it as women do due to the kind of environment he grew up in, one where women flocked around him, and he was more comfortable around them than men.
