Imbewu officially the screens on 16 April 2018. The show’s creator is Duma Ndlovu, while the executive producers are Anant Singh and LeletiKhumalo. The show is produced by Grapevine Productions as an e.tv original production and is equally commissioned and distributed by e.tv. Who Is New On The TV Show?
Nkosinathi Maphalala
There have been changes in the cast of Imbewu in the course of the year. While no actor has left the show, new ones have been added to the cast. Nkosinathi Maphalala (Nay Maps) joined the show in August this year and plays the role of Zenzele Maphumulo in the show. Maphalala replaced Mlungisi Shabala, who initially played Zenzele.
Selby Mkhize
Another addition was made to the cast in September 2021 when Selby “Selbeyonce” Mkhize came on board. Mkhize portrays the character of Lulu Mtshali. It is believed that his addition to the cast was to provide an environment of inclusivity in the show, considering that he had come out to embrace his sexuality as a gay man.
