Jason Hoppy, the ex-husband of Bethenny Frankel from the Real Housewives of New York (RHONY), is presently divorced. However, the American businessman has not been remarried and doesn’t seem to be in any relationship since his divorce.
Hoppy is a successful business owner who rose to prominence after appearing on the reality show Real Housewives of New York (RHONY), where he appeared alongside his ex-wife Bethenny Frankel. Jason was a pharmaceutical salesman before he became famous. He worked for the company AbbVie Pharmaceuticals as an account executive and is worth about $5 million. Years After His Divorce, Jason Hoppy Is Yet To Remarry
After the divorce from Bethenny Frankel, Jason Hoppy relocated to New York and started several businesses. He has remained single, which is interesting as his fans wonder why. However, it still hasn’t stopped him from getting around with female love interests. A few months ago, Bethenny Frankel’s estranged husband was seen walking arm in arm with a mystery woman in New York City.
Jason Hoppy and his female companion appeared in good spirits as they exited a Tribeca restaurant. The identity of this woman is still a mystery, and if she is going to be the new Mrs Jason Hoppy, then the father of one is doing a great job in keeping her identity to himself.
He has not introduced her to his fans and doesn’t tag her on his social media post. In fact, apart from that one public spotting, he hasn’t been seen with the mystery woman again. And still, there has been no mention of marriage from Jason’s camp. However, if you consider how draining his divorce was, it seems reasonable that the businessman isn’t quite ready to tie the knot for a second time yet.

Jason Hoppy Was Once Bethenny Frankel’s Husband
As previously stated, at some point, Jason Hoppy was once married to Bethenny Frankel. The RHONY star met the businessman in late 2008. They met in a nightclub and were attracted to each other almost immediately. After about 11 months of dating, viewers watched Jason propose to Bethenny during season 3 of the Bravo series. A then-pregnant Frankel married Hoppy in front of reality TV cameras in March 2010.
When he married Bethenny, everything changed. Jason became a part of her public life because she was a reality TV personality. He captured the public’s attention after appearing on the popular reality television franchise, The Real Housewives of New York City. He also appeared on his wife’s show Bethenny Ever After. Their marriage began in 2010 and two months after getting hitched; the pair welcomed their daughter, Bryn, in May 2010.
Jason’s Marriage Took a Downward Spiral Only After Two Years
Although their marriage was documented on two different shows – RHONY and Bethenny Getting Married – the public attention and followership could do nothing to save their marriage from crumbling. Their happiness as a couple was terribly short-lived, as well. While fans rooted for their relationship on Bethenny Ever After, which ran for three seasons from 2010 to 2012, Frankel and Hoppy called it quits after less than two years of marriage in 2012.
When she announced their separation, Bethenny noted that their decision to divorce was not a walk in the park. She explained that being a mother makes it even more difficult to swallow, but she had to choose what was best for the family.
She further spoke on the current state of their soon-to-be-broken family, stating that they still had love and respect for each other and would co-parent their daughter, Bryn Hoppy. Frankel alluded to the painful and heartbreaking reality of divorce but assured everyone that their daughter would always be their top priority.
His Ex-wife Filed for Divorce in 2012
Although Bethenny filed for divorce from her husband of two years in 2012, the divorce was finalized in 2016. There had been ongoing legal battles over custody since their divorce, and it got really ugly sometimes. The court process lasted four years – which ended in 2016, but another ligation started regarding child custody – and lasted for another one-and-a-half years.
This included Bethenny Frankel accusing Jason Hoppy of stalking and aggravated harassment. He was arrested and slammed a fine and had to go through a trial. In the end, custody was granted to both him and his ex-wife. Meanwhile, Frankel testified in court that living with Hoppy before their divorce was “brutal, horrendous, and excruciating.”
Jason Hoppy and His Ex-wife Fought Bitterly for Custody of Their Only Child
While the exes eventually reached a custody agreement following a tense divorce trial in 2016, they were back in court in 2019 regarding Bryn after the Skinnygirl CEO sued Hoppy for full custody. In March, an emotional Frankel told the judge that the drama has a “dramatic effect” on her relationship with her daughter.
She further explained that until something stopped, one most likely wouldn’t realize how traumatic and damaging the experience would have been for them. Frankel appeared to have been in tears when she told the judge that she wanted her ex-husband arrested, as his being out of jail was causing her and her daughter emotional distress.
She also made a vague reference to being unable to live a “normal” life with her daughter. It was revealed in March 2021 that a judge approved the couple’s divorce two months earlier. The specifics of their most recent custody agreement have not been made public.
On May 19, 2022, during a public appearance on ‘Watch What Happens Live’ with Andy Cohen, the RHONY alum opened up about her divorce from Jason Hoppy and what it’s like co-parenting their daughter.
First, she confirmed her divorced status, and then she answered Cohen’s question about where things stood with Jason on co-parenting. Bethenny said that her daughter was happy, in a great school, and also an artist. Bryn was even backstage at the Bravo Clubhouse while the interview took place.
Bethenny and Bryn appear to be extremely close, with the 14-year-old always appearing in her mother’s TikTok videos and Instagram posts. While recently celebrating her child’s birthday on May 8, Bethenny wrote a touching Instagram tribute, saying, “Happy birthday my love, I’ve never met someone more loved…You are sweet, loving, compassionate, and kind. The gift you’ve given me saved me. You are my dream girl, my best friend, my teacher, and my inspiration.”
