Augusta Tigrett is the daughter of the late Maureen Starkey Tigrett (born Mary Cox), a hairdresser who was married to Beatles drummer Ringo Starr. 

Augusta is 37 years old and is the only child from her mother’s second marriage to American businessman Isaac Tigrett. Maureen Starkey Tigrett’s daughter keeps a relatively low profile despite her celebrity status.

Augusta is the only child of Isaac Tigrett, the American businessman best known as the co-founder of Hard Rock Cafe and House of Blues. He was born Isaac Burton Tigrett on November 28, 1948, in Jackson, Tennessee, United States. He is currently 75 years old, and unlike Augusta’s mother, he was born into an affluent family.

He graduated from Center College after previously enrolling and graduating from Baylor School in Chattanooga, following his expulsion from McCallie School, where he was a boarding student. He started the first Hard Rock Cafe in June 1971 with Peter Morton and launched House of Blues with partner Dan Aykoryd in 1992. Both businesses have made him quite wealthy.

Augusta Tigrett’s Parents Were Not Married at The Time of Her Birth

Not much is known about how her parents met or if their relationship contributed to the end of her mother’s first marriage, but we can confirm that Augusta’s late mother, Maureen, moved in with her father in 1976, just about one year after her divorce from Beatles drummer, Ringo Starr.

It is important to buttress the fact that at the time of Augusta’s birth in 1987, her parents were not yet a legally married couple. They made that commitment to each other on May 27, 1989, in Monaco, more than two years after the birth of the now 37-year-old Augusta.

Their union, which appeared to be faultless, nonetheless, lasted just over five years, even though it is important to stress that it was not ended by divorce but solely as a result of Maureen Starkey Tigrett’s unfortunate demise in 1994 after she succumbed to the complications that came with her being diagnosed with leukemia.

She Has Three Half-Siblings

While she is undoubtedly the only child her parents had as a couple, Augusta Tigrett has three half-siblings from her mother’s previous marriage to Ringo Starr. Born Richard Starkey on July 4, 1940, the English musician and Augusta’s mother, Maureen Starkey, then Maureen Cox, officially started dating in 1962 when she was just 16 years old.

They became even closer as a couple after Maureen had taken the time to essentially nurse him back to health after he was rushed to the hospital when he collapsed on the eve of an international tour. They eventually tied the knot on February 11, 1965, at the Caxton Hall Register Office, London, after it was discovered that Mauren was pregnant in late January 1965.

The result of that pregnancy was a son named Zak Richard Starkey. He was born on September 13, 1965, and is now 58 years old. He has followed in the footsteps of his father as a drummer and has worked on several bands, including the Who and Oasis.

Augusta’s second half-sibling, another half-brother, was born on August 19, 1967. His name is Jason Starkey, and he is currently 56 years old. Augusta’s only female sibling is her half-sister, Lee Parkin Starkey, who was born on November 11, 1970, and is currently 53 years old.
