Jamal Adeen Thomas is a product of the private school system. His dad, who never wanted him to face the hassles of public schools, sent him to Bishop Ireton High School, where he spent some years before moving on to Fork Union Military Academy.

Following the completion of his studies in high school, Clarence Thomas’ son was admitted into the oldest state-supported military college in the US, known as Virginia Military Institute. Jamal Adeen Thomas’ dad is a renowned American jurist, serving in his capacity as an associate justice of the US Supreme Court. Clarence was nominated to step into Thurgood Marshall‘s shoes in the 1990s by the then-POTUS, George H. W. Bush.

His name went down in history as the 2nd Afro-American to serve on the Court. Clarence is also recognized as the longest-serving member of the court since Anthony Kennedy retired in 2018. After Stephen Breyer’s retirement in 2022, he became the oldest justice.

From the College of the Holy Cross, he proceeded to Yale Law School to acquire his law degree. Clarence first worked in Missouri as an assistant attorney before going into private practice to function as Senator John Danforth’s legislative assistant. He later came back to work for the US government and rose through the ranks to the exalted position he now occupies.
