Ellen Heidingsfelder (born 20th of December 1968; Age: 55) is an American lawyer, and the wife of Cooper Manning, the investment manager who is also the elder brother of NFL stars Eli and Peyton Manning.

Heidingsfelder and Manning first met each other in the 90s and began a relationship. They later got married in 1999. The duo are still married to date and have three kids together who are all thriving in school athletics. Heidingsfelder has also been a pillar of support for her husband as he has dealt with the disappointment of a short-lived football career and morphed into a successful business executive.

Ellen Heidingsfelder was born on the 20th of December 1968 and is a native of New Orleans. She has American nationality and Caucasian ethnicity. Heidingsfelder hails from a family of six.

Her father is Charles E. Heidingsfelder, a respected dentist and philanthropist in the New Orleans area. Her mother is the late Dot Heidingsfelder, who passed away in March 2020. Ellen has two sisters, Molly Silvia and Jane. She equally had a brother that is now late, Charles E Heidingsfelder Jr.

She was a Standout Volleyball Player During Her High School Days at the Academy of Sacred Heart

Ellen Heidingsfelder spent her formative years in New Orleans and had a wonderful childhood. Her parents were catholic, and she was brought up in the faith. She equally attended a catholic high school – the Academy of Sacred Heart.

Heidingsfelder spent four years at the institution, during which she performed well in her academics. She was equally a standout volleyball player and led her school to many laurels. One of them was the 1986 New Orleans Volleyball State Championship which they won. She was instrumental in the school’s victory and was named MVP.

She Attended the University of Virginia and is a Lawyer

Ellen Heidingsfelder completed her high school diploma in 1987 and thereafter proceeded to the University of Virginia. She equally spent four years at the institution and graduated in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree.

Ellen also furthered her studies at Loyola University, New Orleans College of Law, and qualified as a licensed attorney or lawyer. She spent several years practicing her profession. She also lent her expertise to a nonprofit organization founded by her father.

Ellen Heidingsfelder and Cooper Manning Began Dating in the 90s and Wed in 1999

Ellen Heidingsfelder married Cooper Manning in March 1999, but their romance predictably goes way back than that. The two first ran into each other in New Orleans sometime in the mid-90s. At that time, Heidingsfelder was making her way through college/law school while Cooper Manning was also in college as well. They bonded over shared interests and began dating in earnest.

The couple’s relationship progressed from the get-go. They got to meet each other’s families. Manning, who was a Baptist, also accompanied Heidingsfelder to catholic masses on multiple occasions. The former high school wide receiver also opened up to Heidingsfelder about the medical condition which had cut short his football career. She helped him deal with the remaining agony. They later got engaged and wed in a beautiful ceremony that featured all of their family members.

Ellen Heidingsfelder and Cooper Manning have been married for more than two decades now, and their union is thriving beautifully. Cooper Manning was previously a standout wide receiver in high school. He scored a college scholarship to the University of Mississippi and was well on his path to an NFL career. However, before he had even played his first college game, he noticed some weakness and numbness in his right-throwing hand. Tests were conducted, and the doctors diagnosed him with a spinal condition which meant that he could never play.

It was a disappointing end to Cooper Manning’s playing career, and he told Heidingsfelder all about it when they started dating. She sought clarifications on his condition but made it clear that even if it were to leave him wheelchair-bound in his 40s, she would still love him and marry him.

Heidingsfelder has remained faithful to that vow to date and often defends her husband whenever people try to cajole him for his failed bid for the NFL. She has also supported him through some of the further treatments he has had to undergo in order to be healthy.

Ellen Heidingsfelder and Her Husband Have Three Children, including Top NFL Prospect Arch 

Ellen Heidingsfelder and Cooper Manning make their home in New Orleans and have gone on to welcome three children together, who have inherited their athletic genes.

The couple’s oldest child is a daughter named May, who was born in 2002. May Manning followed in her mother’s footsteps and attended the Academy of the Sacred Heart. She was also a standout volleyball player at the school and won The Louisiana State Volleyball Championship in 2020. She is currently a college student at the University of Virginia and intends to major in business and entrepreneurship

Ellen Heidingsfelder’s second child is a son named Arch Manning, who was born in 2004. Arch attends the Isidore Newman School in New Orleans, where he is a standout quarterback. He has been courted by several colleges but has committed to play for the University of Texas. He is regarded as the top quarterback prospect for 2023.

Ellen Heidingsfelder’s third is another son named Heid. Heid was born in 2006. He attends the Isidore Newman School like Arch and plays football. He is, however, not a quarterback but rather a center and has played alongside his brother on several occasions.
