Martins Debunks all Speculations about His Purported Gay Sexuality
Martin Short has debunked all the rumors making the rounds about his sexuality. The Canadian-born actor and comedian was in an interview session with Entertainment Weekly when he laid the blame for his misconstrued sexuality on the roles he has executed in the past.
In his own words, Matins said he is not gay and has never been gay in his entire life. Playing a gay character does not make one to be gay, Martin said. The veteran comedian concluded his speech by saying, “I’m not gay. I’m straight. I love women. I love men. But I’m not gay.”

Marin Short has only ever been married once in his lifetime, and the name of his wife was Nancy Dolman. Born in Toronto, Canada, on the 26th of September 1950, she is a Canadian by nationality, but her ethnicity is said to be White.
Nancy has never mentioned her parents in public, but her brother, Bob Doleman, is part of the entertainment industry as a director who doubles as a screenwriter. Bob takes the credit for productions like Willow and The Banger Sisters.

Martin Short and Nancy Doleman wedded on the 22nd of December 1980. The duo first crossed paths during the run of Godspell in 1972 and dated for almost eight years before deciding to exchange wedding vows.
Martin and Nancy never had any biological children of their own, rather, the duo decided to adopt three children – two boys and a girl. Their first daughter, Katherine, was welcomed in 1983. Three years later, Oliver, their first son, joined the family in 1986, and their last son, Henry, came in 1989.
From what is perceivable, Martin’s union with Nancy was a story of marital bliss as confirmed by the comedian; our marriage was a triumph, Short said. According to him, he still communicates with Nancy after she died. Short said he believes that dead people zoom into their loved ones after death, and to him, Nancy is still very much present in his life. He also revealed that he would often ask her opinion on a lot of things before embarking on them, especially one that concerns their children.
Martin Short also said that Nancy’s passing had changed him, and he can now take more risks in life. Real tragedy makes people become a bit more daring, he said in a 2019 interview session with AARP.
