Mark-Paul Gosselaar and his current wife, Catrionna McGinn, welcomed the last addition to their family in 2015. Unlike Dekker’s birth, Mark-Paul and Catrionna didn’t bother to make any official announcement that they were expecting a baby. Fans only got an inkling of what was happening at the Disney event in December 2014 where the expectant mother was showing off her bump. Barely two months later, Lachlyn Hope Gosselaar came to complete their love on Tuesday, the 17th of February 2015. Mark-Paul Gosselaar is one Hollywood dad that seems to be always talking about his brood. The Saved by the Bell star has been severally spotted in the public attending sports events, movie premieres, grave digger shows, Disney’s The Muppets, and more with his children.
Mark-Paul and his wife, Catriona, seem not to be making any conscious attempt to keep their children away from public scrutiny. However, when quizzed on whether he wants his children to join the movie world, he responded with an outright no.
According to Mark-Paul, he would prefer that his kids avoid anything that has to do with Hollywood. His reason for taking this decision is that kids in the movie world face a lot of rejection and in addition, they have to grow up very fast and begin acting like adults despite their young ages. Mark-Paul concluded by saying that Hollywood isn’t a place for children and he would love to protect his kids from that experience.
