In 2013, Brittney Griner was drafted by the Phoenix Mercury as the first overall pick of the WNBA draft. She did exploits during her rookie year in the Women’s National Basketball Association, earning the title of WNBA all-star. In no time, she became a dominant force in the WNBA averaging 3.0 blocks per game.
Wearing the no. 42 jersey for the Phoenix Mercury team, Griner was named three-time All-American.
