How Effective Is Teneo?

Teneo has all the characteristics of a typical learning institution. The only difference is that students are taught online only by tutors at their own convenient time. Teneo school is effective because learners gain the same learning experience and certification during matriculations and other programs.

Teneo students sit for the NSC/CAPS, which is the traditional school curriculum outlined by the South African government. All examinations and tests are written with Teneo Online School, with the final Matric examination being written at official SACAI examination centers located countrywide.

As you already know, SACAI is accredited by Umalusi Council. So, Teneo students who successfully pass their final Grade 12 Matric examination receive the same South African Matric certificate as received by their learner counterparts in a traditional classroom.

Lessons are taught daily via live Zoom following timetabled classes. Students also take part in cross-curricular projects, peer-to-peer discourse, structured learning, independent study time, and subjects are offered in both English and Afrikaans language mediums.

The Teneo Independent School is also registered with the IEB. Completing Grade 12 IEB examinations is equivalent to completing the curriculum to the British International AS Level standard. Matriculants writing through either the IEB, SACAI or the DBE will be issued the same National Senior Certificate /Matric certificate.

The Teneo Adult Matric package is also very effective as it has helped students achieve their National Senior Certificate (NSC) in 2 years. Here, all learning is done through Teneo, and final exams are written through SACAI. The adult matric is designed for those who are employed full-time.

The effectiveness of Teneo’s ‘Ultimate Home-Schooling Kit’ CloudPack School cannot be undermined. It allows learners to take school home with them and work on it on their schedule using the school’s “ultra-flexible home-schooling kit.”

It is also ideal for those who only need recorded lessons, prefer independent study time, and also need to work at their own pace with access to weekly recordings. At Teneo school, all Grade 4-9 CloudPack School students register as ‘home-schooled’ with the Department of Basic education.
