The South African thespian was born on October 31, 1962, in the South African town of Lady Selborne, Pretoria, in the province of Gauteng. He was born into a low-class family that reared cattle for a living.

It is known that his mother’s name was Annah, but his father’s name has never been revealed to the public. Seputla disclosed that his father was a church minister who served at a local church in Lady Selborne. His birth sign is Scorpio, and he is of African descent.

The timeframe for starting his professional acting career is given as 1982. He appeared in several local productions, including the Pedi drama ‘Bophelo Ke Semphekgo,’ where he performed brilliantly as a chronic womanizer named Nkwesheng.

He has also appeared in several other productions, including Not To Die Today,’ ‘Gathering of the Beasts,’ and many others. He also starred in a popular television sitcom targeted at suburban viewers. It was titled ‘Bliss.’

Seputla most notably played the character of Kenneth Mashaba in the long-running Mzansi series, ‘Generations’ in 2005. 10 years later, he portrayed a character known as Solomon in the e.tv series Rhythm City.’ Presently, Seputla Sebogodi is estimated to be worth over 1 million US dollars. He is also the recipient of 2 South African Film Awards (SAFTA).

Of all his four children, the actor has only one daughter, Thabang Sebogodi, on whom he dotes the most.
