Kelly Khumalo Is A Mother of Two Children

Kelly has never been married in her life thus far but has been in several relationships, most of which have ended in a very controversial manner. Nonetheless, it is thanks to these relationships that she is now a mother of two kids; a son named Christian and a daughter, Thingo. Let’s meet them and learn who their fathers are below.

Christian Khumalo

  • Father: Molemo Maarohanye (Jub Jub)
  • Date of birth: May 12, 2000
  • Age: 23 Years Old

The first son of the singer, Christian Khumalo was born to her from her relationship with South African rapper, Jub Jub, who was born Molemo Maarohanye. The relationship was marred by accusations of domestic abuse on the part of the rapper, and it came to an end after Jub was sent to prison for culpable homicide.

Kelly raised her son as a single mother, keeping him away from his father even after he was released from prison, pointing out that both she and the kid do not need him, and they don’t lack anything. According to her, the rapper has never tried reaching out to her about the son, although he stated that was not true.

In 2020, Kelly was said to have reached out to Jub to do the right thing and get involved in the life of the kid. When Christian was suspended from school in 2020 because of alleged stealing, Kelly’s mother claimed the behavior of the kid was because he had no father in his life, the singer replied that she was not going to be made a fool by her former lover. Apart from stealing, there were reports that the young Christian was also lying continuously.

Thingolenkosazana Meyiwa Khumalo

  • Father: Senzo Meyiwa
  • Date of birth: March 19, 2014
  • Age: 10 Years Old

The second child of Kelly was born more controversially. She had the daughter for Senzo Meyiwa, the late Bafana Bafana goalkeeper who would later be murdered in the home of the singer. When Kelly and Meyiwa started their relationship, the footballer was already married to Mandisa Mkhize, whom he dated since 2005 and got married to in 2013.

He had a daughter with his wife, Nana Meyiwa, before going on to have another child, Thingolenkosazana with Kelly. Thingo was born in 2014, and unfortunately, just a few months after her birth, her father was killed in cold blood in the home of her mother, as previously stated. Thus far, Kelly doesn’t seem to have a problem being the father and mother of both her kids. Thingo, who is still a little girl, is said to have since started school, and she has a keen interest in dancing.

Kelly Khumalo Has Had Many Troubled Relationships In The Past

Kelly Khumalo is, no doubt, a beautiful woman who is also talented and successful in her own rights. However, she has not been able to have it right when it comes to her love life. Here is a look at all her previous relationships and how they unfortunately ended:

1. Prosper Mkwaiwa

The first man that was publicly linked to the singer was a music promoter, Prosper Mkwaiwa. A Zimbabwean, Prosper was once married to Tina Jaxa in 2000, but the extravagant marriage did not last too long before it came to an end, and then he moved on to Kelly until he became her manager. One thing led to another and the two started dating.

Although he claimed he was the first man to sleep with the singer in 2007, this was not enough to keep the relationship going as it later ended messily. Prosper mysteriously died in 2015 after a brief illness.

2. Jub Jub

Following her messy relationship with the late Prosper, she started yet another relationship with fast-rising rapper, Jub Jub. The pair was seen as the most perfect celebrity couple at the time, but it would later be found out that there was nothing beautiful about their relationship as it was all toxic.

The couple abused each other physically and broke up before returning several times. What finally buried the relationship was the prison sentence of Jub for culpable homicide for the death of four children. Kelly Khumalo had a son for the rapper, as mentioned, but before then, she had a miscarriage when she first took in for him.

3. Senzo Meyiwa

This is probably her most controversial relationship yet for many reasons. First, Senzo was a married man with a kid when they dated, and second, he lost his life in the process. Reports had it that Senzo was warned of the dark cloud that surrounded the singer, but he continued with the relationship that produced a daughter in the process.

In 2014, when he visited her in the house of her parents, Senzo lost his life following what at first, was believed to be a robbery incident that went wrong. It was later revealed that the episode was not a robbery case, but in fact, a murder. Kelly was not accepted by Senzo’s father, Sam, until his death because he always believed she was the reason why he lost his son.

4. Chad da Don

And then there was Chad da Don, who she came very close to marrying before they parted ways. Their relationship drew so much interest because for once, it seemed as though she had now found a relationship in which she was very comfortable and willing to give herself completely. However, less than a year into the relationship, it was reported that they had parted ways in 2019.

With the intervention of Chad’s mother and some close to the couple, they mended fences and returned to each other, but that was only to last for 6 months before they parted ways again, this time for good.

Kelly Khumalo May Still Be Single Because She Has Not Answered Her Calling

One cannot claim not to have noticed all the misfortunes following the men that have dated Kelly Khumalo in the past. In 2014, it was reported that a traditional healer, Sangoma Dumezweni Mahabuke claimed that the men that date the singer would continue to face various misfortunes because she has rejected her calling by her ancestors.

In 2018, however, there were speculations that she decided to answer the call and become a traditional healer, but she has not come out to confirm the reports. One more thing that may be the reason why she is single is that according to her, she has always dated men because they asked her out and not necessarily because she wanted to be with them. As a result of this, the relationships have a way of not working out.
