In the year 2000, Andile Nebulane enrolled at the University of Cape Town and graduated with a Diploma in Theatre and Performance. He Kicked Off His Career in Theatre
In 2001, Andile Nebulane debuted his acting career with roles in two stage plays, Trauma Centre and King Lear. In the next year, he featured in Aluta and Leonce en Lena. Between 2003 and 2010, he scored roles in more than ten theatre productions. They include Dance With Poor Man’s Daughter, Oedipus, The Best Man, Brothers in Blood, Blue Song, and Things Are Bad Ijumpile Lendaba.
In 2014, the 43 year-old performed a reading of the Robin Island Bible. Two years later, he was cast in Children’s Monologue and At Play, both held at the Market Theatre. He also scored a role in The Suit in 2017.
Andile Nebulane Has Had Many TV and Film Credits
Throughout his blossoming career, Andile Nebulane has been cast in several TV and film productions. In 2001, he was featured in a movie titled Adrenaline. He subsequently scored roles in two German films – My Way and Wild Life. He was later cast as a pilot in the 2010 movie Tin of Paint and also played Sandile in the movie Love The One You Love in 2013.
In the same 2013, he appeared in the TV series 90 Plein Street Season 4 as Vukile Mazibuko. Furthermore, Andile Nebulane bagged a leading role in the eKasi+ drama series Hustle in 2016. He portrayed the character of Duma, the owner of Slyza Records. He was also featured in Rhythm City the same year. Then, from 2016 to 2017, he played Alex in the series Keeping Score. He also had a role in Jonga before landing his famous role of Officer Pele Malinga in Generations: The Legacy in 2018.
The versatile actor further portrayed the character of Regent King Ntuka in the TV series Blood Psalms in 2020. And in the year 2022, he featured in three films—Night Shift, King of Queenstown, and You’re My Favourite Place. In 2014, he worked as a production assistant in a film titled The Giver. Two years later, he served as a dialect coach in Message from the King. He also was the dialect coach of the late Hollywood actor Chadwick Boseman in Black Panther in 2018.

Over the years, Andile Nebulane has acted in several TV commercials for brands, corporate theatre productions for top clients, and equally hosted events for organizations/brands. Is Andile Nebulane Married?
It’s still uncertain whether Andile Nebulane is a married man as he has not revealed his relationship status yet. However, the 43-year-old is a father to more than one child. The total number of children he has is unknown, but according to his alleged baby mama, Nebulane has fathered many children with different women.
In May 2023, in a ghosted Twitter account, a lady named Amanda Waller claimed to be Andile’s baby mama. She accused the TV star of being a deadbeat father who impregnates women and then abandons his children. She also tagged Generations producer Mfundi Vundla in the post. Trying to redeem his public image that has been tarnished by his alleged baby mama, Andile Nebulane spoke to Zimoja and denied being a deadbeat father.
He described himself as someone who does everything for his family and children. He also asserted that people who are close to him know that he puts his family first. He then asked the person behind the Twitter account to come forward and formally make her claims. He also pleaded with the person to leave his kids out of the public drama and rather come for him directly.
He was a Victim of Police Brutality
In October 2011, Andile Nebulane was brutally beaten by police in a case of mistaken identity. He was viciously assaulted with guns, hammers, and metal torches and nearly died from the horrible experience. The ugly incident took place at his residence in the Samora Machel settlement in Cape Town.
He was woken up by a loud banging at the door, and when they forcefully entered his house, the armed plain clothes police officers were asking him for guns and drugs, and he told them that he was an actor and had nothing to do with such. Immediately, they started beating him up relentlessly, even though he kept telling them he wasn’t the person they were looking for.
While lying in the pool of blood, weak, helpless, and had already surrendered to his fate, one of the policemen lifted his chin and asked him whether he was Andile or Anele. He replied that he had been telling them that he was Andile, an actor. It was then they realized they had the wrong person and left him in a poor state. Thankfully, Nebulane’s neighbor came and took him to the hospital.
Despite opening an assault case at Nyanga Police Station in Cape Town and also reporting the incident to the Independent Police Investigation Directorate, the actor hasn’t received justice as of 2019. It was reported that the senior public prosecutor was presented with the docket in 2014 but declined to prosecute.
