In May 2023, in a ghosted Twitter account, a lady named Amanda Waller claimed to be Andile’s baby mama. She accused the TV star of being a deadbeat father who impregnates women and then abandons his children. She also tagged Generations producer Mfundi Vundla in the post. Trying to redeem his public image that has been tarnished by his alleged baby mama, Andile Nebulane spoke to Zimoja and denied being a deadbeat father.

He described himself as someone who does everything for his family and children. He also asserted that people who are close to him know that he puts his family first. He then asked the person behind the Twitter account to come forward and formally make her claims. He also pleaded with the person to leave his kids out of the public drama and rather come for him directly.

He was a Victim of Police Brutality

In October 2011, Andile Nebulane was brutally beaten by police in a case of mistaken identity. He was viciously assaulted with guns, hammers, and metal torches and nearly died from the horrible experience. The ugly incident took place at his residence in the Samora Machel settlement in Cape Town.

He was woken up by a loud banging at the door, and when they forcefully entered his house, the armed plain clothes police officers were asking him for guns and drugs, and he told them that he was an actor and had nothing to do with such. Immediately, they started beating him up relentlessly, even though he kept telling them he wasn’t the person they were looking for.

While lying in the pool of blood, weak, helpless, and had already surrendered to his fate, one of the policemen lifted his chin and asked him whether he was Andile or Anele. He replied that he had been telling them that he was Andile, an actor. It was then they realized they had the wrong person and left him in a poor state. Thankfully, Nebulane’s neighbor came and took him to the hospital.

Despite opening an assault case at Nyanga Police Station in Cape Town and also reporting the incident to the Independent Police Investigation Directorate, the actor hasn’t received justice as of 2019. It was reported that the senior public prosecutor was presented with the docket in 2014 but declined to prosecute.
