King Monada is a South African singer and music producer who has been very successful in his craft. As of this writing, his net worth has been estimated to be between $500,000 to $2 million.

King Monada shows off his wealth with the kind of cars he owns and his beautiful mansion. Although his major source of income is music, King Monada’s net worth has also been grown through many investments/businesses he runs.

The singer owns a clothing line and has also invested in real estate. Judging from the fact that he is still a young man and looking at his long-term financial investments, you can tell that King Monada’s net worth will keep growing incrementally as the years go by.

King Monada Built A Good Part Of His Net Worth From Music

King Monada ventured into music in 2005 while in Limpopo at age 14, and his genre of music ‘Bolobedu’, enabled him to communicate with people around his locality. However, the singer knew that if he must take that next step, he had to leave Limpopo, and staying there didn’t give him enough opportunity. Making music in rural Limpopo did not connect him to the larger South African music industry, as most people did Bolobedu house music were in the rural area.

His big break came when he met Molao Rammala, an open mic production producer, and through the latter’s influence, Monada’s first song Ska Bhora Moreki (2016), gained popularity. Since that debut song, he has released many songs that did so well in the national and international markets. Today, King Monada has been able to build a fortune from music. He has worked with artists like Kabza De Small, DJ Maphorisa, and Tshego.

Although the exact amount he has made from music over the years is not known, from the views he has generated from his songs on YouTube, the sales of the songs, and the appearance fees for the numerous shows he attends (his Instagram handle is filled with fliers for shows where he would perform), one can tell that these are all money-generating avenues for any singer. Certainly, a good part of King Monada’s net worth came from his musical endeavors.

King Monada also owns his own record label dubbed King Monada Music, another revenue source for the Amapiano artist. He is currently signed under his record label, and all the songs he has promoted under the label have done well.

King Monada Makes Money From His Clothing Line and Endorsement Deals

King Monada understands the importance of diversifying his sources of income, and so in 2020, he joined the list of South African music artists who own other businesses. In June, to be specific, he made a post on Instagram informing his fans that he has officially launched his own clothing line called King Monada Clothing Brand. The brand deals in almost all kinds of outfits. As someone who has endorsed other brands, being the face of his own clothing brand was obviously a good idea.

Endorsement deals are also one of the ways king Monada makes money, and he has signed a couple of such deals. Some of the brands the songwriter and producer is currently tied to include:

The exact amount of money he was paid for endorsing any of these brands is unknown. Yet, for an artist of his standing and considering his reach, these deals must have been worth a lot and contributed significantly to King Monada’s net worth.

He Owns a Big Mansion in Limpopo

Being someone with foresight, King Monada decided to build a house for himself and his family. According to him, he knows his career’s lifespan is not guaranteed, and cars are not a good inheritance for his family in a situation where his career begins to get to its twilight.

The construction of his Limpopo mansion was scheduled to be complete in April 2020, but due to the coronavirus outbreak and the subsequent lockdown that ensued, he had to halt construction. This sparked off rumors that the singer had gone broke. However, King Monada debunked the rumors while insisting that he has all it takes to complete his building – which he did successfully.

The edifice is located in his hometown – Mokgoloboto village, Tzaneen in Limpopo. Fans have expressed surprise that he chose to build a house worth millions of rands in the village, but Monada believes his village is where his family feels at home. The house contains six bedrooms and is estimated to be worth between R1.5 million and R3 million.

King Monada doesn’t like good and expensive cars for himself only, and he also loves seeing members of his family drive good cars. He gifted his mother a Ford Figo with a driver, and in 2019, he also bought a Volkswagen Figo for his wife.

Master KG Is Richer Than King Monada

No doubt, King Monada is the king of Limpopo, and Makhadzi is queen, but Master KG, as his name goes, is the Master of Limpopo. They are all talented and have dropped songs that did so well in the music market. Still, Master KG has several hit songs that went viral internationally and gained massive international fame.

His song Jerusalema hit over 50 Million views on YouTube. With a net worth estimated to be between $1 million and $5 million, Master KG is the richest South African artist from Limpopo.

Monada Grew His Net Worth From Very Humble Beginnings

Khutso Steven Kgatle, popularly known as King Monada, is one of South Africa’s favorite Amapiano artists from Limpopo. Born on 25th November 1992 in Mokgoloboto village, Tzaneen in Limpopo, King Monada lost his father, Elvis Kgatla, to an illness that lasted for a long time. After his father’s death, his mother, Thandi Matala, raised her five children in impoverished conditions singlehandedly. Things were so difficult that she had to move in with her parents. She gave her all to ensure that her children got the best they could afford, despite their poverty.

For his education, Monada had his primary school education at the Sebone Primary School and started high school at Magoza High School before he dropped out in grade 8 due to the financial constraints that plagued the family at the time. After dropping out of school, he decided to follow his passion for music, a decision that has paid off so well now.
