She defeated 29 other girls who participated in the pageant to win the Miss Botswana crown. Seneo was the only fair lady in the top three: Nicole Lisa Gaelebale was the First Princess, whereas Peggy Grynberg emerged as the Second Princess.

As a result of her skin complexion, Seneo Mabengano’s win was heavily criticized, as many people were against a woman of color representing Botswana. She, however, gave deaf ears to the criticism and focused on her duties as a beauty queen. She believed that besides her skin color, she shared the same traits with every Batswana.

Seneo Mabengano Had Her First Acting Gig with Muvhango

Seneo Mabengano debuted on Muvhango as Khumo Motsamai, James Motsamai’s (Dingaan Khumalo) long-lost half-sister, in October 2022. Her introduction on the show paved an evil path for her as the first time she was seen in Muvhango, she murdered James Motsamai’s mother, Mma Moipone (Mmabatho Mogomotsi), in prison.

The role is the Batswana model’s first acting gig, and her family has a mixed reaction to the evil role she plays. On the show, she portrays the character of a go-getter who is determined to achieve her goals by fair or foul means. For her satisfaction, narcissistic Khumo would turn MMC upside down.

Playing a villain has been a good challenge for Seneo, who seems to be quite different from the character she is portraying in Muvhango. She hopes to see herself on Netflix in the future as she desires to grow in the film industry.
