Bonang Matheba (born 25th of June, 1987) is a South African TV presenter, actress, and radio\/social media personality. Her claim to prominence was as the host of SABC 1’s\u00a0Live<\/em>\u00a0(currently Live Amp<\/em>) from 2007-2012 alongside Tbo Touch.<\/strong><\/p>\n Also known as Queen B, Bonang Matheba is easily one of the most popular celebrities and definitely South Africa’s most popular television host.\u00a0Some of the shows she currently hosts include SABC 3’s\u00a0Top Billing<\/em>,\u00a0Afternoon Express<\/em> and the Metro FM’s\u00a0The Front Row.\u00a0<\/em>She currently stars on the Afternoon Express with Danilo Acquisto,\u00a0Jeannie D and Bonnie Mbuli.<\/p>\n Bonang is also a prolific brand ambassador. Her father is Andrew Gampi Matheba and was a lecturer at the University of North West while her mother worked for an agribusiness company as the Corporate Head of Human Resources. Her parents later divorced and her mother got remarried and the new couple had a son – Thabo.<\/p>\n Bonang Matheba has a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the University of Johannesburg. Along with her older sister and her half-brother, the entire family relocated to Johannesburg where Bonang attended Fourways High School and later enrolled at the University of Johannesburg to study Marketing.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n She got her start at 15 years old<\/strong><\/p>\n Bonang’s big introduction to the entertainment industry came in 2002\u00a0when the fifteen-year-old landed a gig as a\u00a0presenter on Manhattan’s Fantasy Challenge<\/em> on SABC 2. But her big break came in 2007\u00a0when she got a job as the new presenter for\u00a0Live\u00a0<\/em>on SABC 1 with Tbo Touch and Andile Ncube. Despite the negativity surrounding his relationship with Bonang, DJ Euphonik is said to be one of South Africa’s most influential artists. He has been applauded for his annual one-day workshop which he uses to reach out to people with aspirations to be a DJ.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n By 2015, Bonang was alleged to be in a relationship with Nigerian artiste – D’banj after the pair attended MTV Africa Music Awards together in 2015.<\/p>\n Rumour also had it that Bonang Matheba dated Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Siphiwe Tshabalala at the time she was presenting Kaizer Chiefs FC TV.<\/p>\n She is, however, currently in a relationship with Musician and rapper – Kiernan Forbes better known by his stage name – A.K.A<\/a>.
