South African colleges are vetted by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), backed legally by the Continuing Education and Training Act of 2006. Failure to register with this particular body renders the college illegal; thus, any certificate acquired from the said college is null and void. To save students the heartbreak of going through an unaccredited college, we have compiled a list of colleges that have been certified by the DHET.<\/p>\n

Colleges are known for offering quality and specialized training to students and generally focus on a particular subject of study, as opposed to the broader syllabuses of most universities. Now the catch with choosing a good college comes with knowing which ones are government accredited and fishing out the unregistered ones.<\/p>\n

Other bodies that regulate college education in the country include the Higher Education Quality Committee (HEQC) and the Quality Council For Trades & Occupations (QCTO).
