With nurses making up the largest component of most healthcare environments, nursing ranks as one of the scarce critical skills<\/a> needed globally. As a result, most matric students in South Africa opt to study nursing<\/a> either in universities or private nursing colleges. The profession ranks as one of the most lucrative jobs in the country, where a nurse reportedly earns a monthly salary<\/a> between R13,000 and R38,000.<\/p>\n

Interestingly, nursing graduates can easily find a job in SA. They don’t necessarily have to work in the hospital. Nowadays, nurses are being employed by companies, institutions, and schools. As nurses have their scope of practice and training, many private nursing colleges in South Africa now offer courses that equip students with the standard approach to patient care.<\/p>\n

List of SANC Registered Private Nursing Colleges in South Africa<\/strong><\/h2>\n

There are more than fifty private nursing colleges located in the nine provinces of South Africa accredited by the South African Nursing Council (SANC) to offer nursing programmes. While some of these colleges provide Higher Certificate in Nursing and Diploma in Nursing programmes, others additionally offer Diploma in Midwifery programmes.<\/p>\n
