A native of Kagiso, in Krugersdorp, Pitso Mosimane is considered one of the highest-paid African football coaches, with a net worth reported to run in millions. Mosimane began his youth career at Rockville Hungry Lions club, after which he kicked off his senior career at the popular Johannesburg<\/a>-based football club Jomo Cosmos in 1982. He made a total of 27 appearances and netted 7 goals for the club until 1984 when his career with the club came to an end.<\/p>\n

He returned to Jomo in 1986 from Mamelodi Sundowns (he joined the club in 1985) and later again in 1988 after exiting Sundowns for the second time in 1987. During his last stint at Jomo, he scored 11 goals from 14 appearances and then played for the following clubs between 1989 and 1996 – Orlando Pirates, the Greece-based club Ionikos, KFC Rita Berlaar, and Al Sadd.<\/p>\n

Mosimane made a total of 189 appearances and scored 49 goals as a professional player for his clubs. Between 1993-1994, he also represented South Africa four times and scored one goal for his country. In the course of his career, Pitso was a brilliant and respectable player who exhibited his talent on the field across regions.<\/p>\n

In addition to an average bonus of R5,316, the salary of an average football player in South Africa is R210,943 or an equivalent hourly rate of R101, according to a recent publication<\/a>.
