Who is the Wackest Rapper in SA? Revisiting the Controversial List

Although not everyone concurs, Nadia Nakai is regarded as the wackest rapper in South Africa. She is thought to be terrible on the mic and incapable of producing quality music on her own without the assistance of other rappers.

Nakai’s inclusion on the list of the wackest rappers in the nation has continued to spark discussion from various online forums, with her supporters reminding her detractors that she has roughly five awards under her belt. Besides the rapper, there are some other local rappers who made it to the light of the wackest rappers in South Africa.

How the Controversial List of Wackest Rappers in SA Emerged

South Africans were greeted on September 1, 2022, with a list of 20 local rappers who are regarded as the worst rappers of all time. The contentious list was published by Everything SA Music, a well-known local website for fans of African music.

After it was published, the list sparked a great deal of debate about the individuals that were included in it. It’s interesting to note that the list has continued to elicit conflicting viewpoints online because some music lovers believe that some of the names on the list shouldn’t be there because they are personal favorites of theirs.

The appearance of a few “big shots” on the list, like Boity, Nadia Nakai, and a few others who appeared to have done well for themselves (given the fact that they have won some accolades and have an outstanding number of albums and songs to their credit), surprised a lot of people.

One of the list’s shortcomings is that Everything SA Music did not specify why they thought these rappers were the wackest. Nonetheless, it might also have something to do with their songs, slack performances, mediocre or weak rapping abilities, terrible delivery, accomplishments, and low visibility in the South African entertainment sector.

Sadly, despite our best efforts, we were unable to locate any tracks by these artists that are regarded as their “worst songs”. Let’s quickly look at these rappers’ short bios and other interesting facts.
