Mbali Nkosi is currently 34 years old. She was born on October 28, 1989, in Gauteng province, South Africa. The reality TV star was born to Nonthlanthla Daphne Nkosi and her husband, whose identity is not publicly known.

Mbali reportedly has four sisters and a brother – two half-sisters through her mother and a half-brother and two half-sisters through her father. The late HIV/AIDS child activist Nkosi Johnson (originally born Xolani Nkosi) was her brother.

Xolani died on June 1, 2001, from HIV/AIDS-related complications at the age of 12. Their mother had died earlier from complications of the disease before Xolani’s condition gradually worsened.

In 2006, she acted as a dancer in the musical drama series Angel’s Song. The project aired on M-NET, after which she co-wrote the song “Free” with Moagi Seete the following year, in grade 12.

“Free,” which was recorded by Moagi’s Sister Thembi Seete for her music album “Music is My Life,” was subsequently selected for the song of the year at the SAMAS, South African Music Awards.

Mbali launched her professional dancing career in the year 2008. She has toured different countries worldwide since her emergence and performed before large audiences in concerts, events, and TV shows. She was a former staff member at Massiv Metro but left in 2020.

She was also in a relationship with former South African professional footballer Kaizer Motaung Junior, who doubles as the son of Kaizer Chiefs football founder Kaizer Motaung.

The two began dating in 2016 after Kaizer separated from his wife Catherine Heider following allegations of domestic abuse. The aspect of their love journey that is not known publicly is how they met and when exactly they got connected.

The public began aware of their reconnection through the actress’ Instagram page, where she posted several pictures with Kaizer. Right now, it’s unclear if they are still together, although there are indications that they are no longer together.
