Then in April 2023, she had a baby shower for her third child and it’s being speculated that her boyfriend, Yende is the father of her child. However, the couple are yet to confirm or deny the rumor.

Kelly Khumalo is unmarried but presently rumored to be engaged to Mthokozisi Yende. The award-winning singer is said to be engaged after she was spotted with a diamond ring on her left hand in December 2022. Despite her timeline getting flooded with congratulatory messages, Kelly Khumalo kept mum about the identity of her fiancé.

Meanwhile, in the year 2015, the ‘Empini’ crooner teased her fans about getting hitched as she shared a picture of herself in a wedding gown. It was later discovered that the photo was taken from the music video of her collaboration song with Arthur Mafokate titled, ‘Nguye Lo’, wherein she got married to the music artist.

Also, Kelly Khumalo almost got married to musician, Donovan Chad Mansoor (aka Chad Da Don), to whom she was engaged for a while. The former couple started dating in 2018 after Chad was featured in the songstress’ music video for her single, ‘Dance Comigo’. Although many people thought that their relationship was a publicity stunt, the two proved them wrong when they announced their engagement in 2019.

Chad Da Don proposed to the ‘Voice of Africa’ hitmaker at the Itaga Private Game Lodge and the duo stated that they were planning for a wedding shortly. Afterward, Kelly Khumalo began referring to the musician as her husband. And they got matching tattoos that signified that they were tied to one another forever. Surprisingly, in late 2019, Chad introduced his new girlfriend, Carlla Poggenpoel to the public.

Why did Kelly Khumalo Call Off Her Engagement to Chad Da Don?

During her appearance on Podcast With MacG in October 2020, Khumalo revealed to MacG that she was the one that canceled her engagement to Chad Da Don. She added that she’s thankful to God that she didn’t marry her ex-fiancé. She explained that marrying the musician would have been the worst mistake of her life as he was insecure and needed to grow up.

She made up her mind to quit the relationship after noticing Chad’s insecurity about her friends as she has many gay friends. He was also insecure about her fans, asking why they are hugging and taking pictures with the singer. With Kelly having done so much to be the woman she is today, she ended her relationship in order not to lose herself whilst trying to have a family.

Later in September 2022, in an interview on Kaya 959 breakfast show with Sol Phenduka and Dineo Ranaka, the ‘Bazokhuluma’ hitmaker further disclosed that she was in a weird space when she dated and even agreed to marry Chad Da Don.

The two have reportedly been in a relationship for three years and kept it under wraps. Following the speculation that Kelly Khumalo was involved in the murder of her former boyfriend, Senzo Meyiwa, she has decided to be keeping her love life secret.

However, Mzansi got to know about their recent romantic relationship in the year 2021 when both Yende and Kelly Khumalo shared pictures on Instagram. They were spotted to be in the same location though they weren’t together in the pictures. While celebrating her 38th birthday in November 2022, the gorgeous singer hinted that she has a man in her life.

She posted on Instagram a video of herself dancing in what seemed to be a hotel room with rose petals on the floor. And she captioned the fun, light-hearted video, “Party for 2 went exceedingly well.”

Meet Kelly Khumalo’s Alleged Third Baby Daddy

Mthokozi Vincent Yende, who is reportedly Kelly Khumalo’s third baby daddy, was born in Tembisa, Johannesburg, on June 7th, 1984. He is presently 39 years old. Yende is a retired pro footballer who began his youth career as a midfielder at Benoni Premier United before moving to his hometown club, Tembisa Classic. He afterward joined the University of Pretoria in National First Division in the year 2006.

Three years later, he moved to the Premier Soccer League club, Kaizer Chiefs. He subsequently played for Maritzburg United, Free State Stars, and Moroka Swallows before his retirement. Yende is presently said to be a multi-millionaire businessman who specializes in the transport and logistics business.

Kelly Khumalo’s Lavish Baby Shower

For some time, Kelly Khumalo kept her pregnancy secret. However, she was first speculated to be expecting in September 2022. Three months later, she shared a photo where she was performing at Bergville, KwaZulu-Natal, and her growing baby bump was quite noticeable. She then had a gender-neutral-themed baby shower at the Suitability Gardens in Gauteng on April 4th, 2023.

Organized by Nono Events, the colorful baby shower was graced by her friends and family. And the event had the theme, ‘A New Lineage Legacy’. While Kelly Khumalo has been silent on the identity of her child’s father, she is also keeping the gender of her unborn baby a secret.

Kelly and Jub Jub’s Strained Co-parenting Relationship

At the age of 25, Kelly Khumalo met her first baby daddy, Jub Jub. The two welcomed a son named Christian Khumalo on May 11th, 2010, and later split based on the accusation of domestic violence. Since then, both have been having verbal altercations on social media as a result of Jub Jub not getting involved in the co-parenting of their son.

On Mother’s Day in 2022, Jub Jub dedicated a post to his baby mama, Kelly Khumalo, on his Instagram story. Even though he admitted in the post that he has a soured relationship with Kelly, he publicly recognized her as the mother of his son. Khumalo was furious with the post and then reacted to it with a middle finger. She further pleaded with the former Uyajola 9/9 host not to disrespect her.

She added that she knows a man who wants a relationship with his child when she sees one and would never stand in his way of achieving that. Hence, Kelly Khumalo calls her first baby daddy a deadbeat father, having been absent in Christian’s life. She eventually decided to keep her son away from his father until he tenders a proper apology to her and her family.

Kelly Khumalo’s Second Baby Daddy Died in 2014

On March 23rd, 2014, Kelly Khumalo had her second child, a daughter named Thingo Khumalo, with the late Orlando Pirates’ goalkeeper, Senzo Meyiwa. In the second season of her reality TV show, Life With Kelly Khumalo which premiered in July 2021, she revealed how betrayed she felt when she discovered that her ex-boyfriend, Senzo, was married to Mandisa Meyiwa and lied to her.

At the time of the discovery, she was already three months pregnant. Sadly, in October 2014, Khumalo’s second baby daddy was killed in an armed robbery attack that took place at her family home in Vosloorus. Afterward, she became a target of accusations and bullying. Following the apprehension of Senzo’s killers in 2021, Kelly Khumalo was implicated in the murder of the former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper.

However, she has moved on to clear her name from the murder case. She explained on her reality show that she has no hands in the murder of her former boyfriend, and it breaks her heart as she’s been accused of something she is innocent of.
