Not long after his exit, in 2021, he landed on a new series, Ubettina Wethu, a South African Ugly Betty spin-off based on the story of a young girl struggling to find a job in the city. Ngoma portrays the character of T-bang Moeketsi, who happens to be gay, and as a result, he has received a lot of hate from people who are against the LGBTQ community.
