In September 2021, when Boohle was a guest on MacG‘s Podcast and Chill with MacG, she debunked the rumour about her dating Josiah De Disciple. She revealed that Josiah was together with someone else while they were working on the single, ‘Mama’ and that the South African DJ is now a married man.
She stated that she had never dated him, clarifying that they were just friends who had a very close working relationship.

Boohle also made more revelations on the podcast that set tongues wagging. She disclosed that she had visited Josiah’s home multiple times based on work engagement, and she never got along well with his wife. Her statement made the DJ regret ever inviting the ‘Mama’ singer to his house. He took to Twitter to advise his followers to be careful who they welcome into their personal space.
He further stated in the same post that after inviting Boohle into his studio and home, she wanted to mess things up for him just for the podcast. It was later discovered that the lady being talked about in ‘Mama’ lyrics wasn’t Boohle. She was allegedly Josiah’s wife, who reportedly dated Mr JazziQ before ending up with Josiah De Disciple.
What to Know About Boohle’s Rumoured Boyfriend, Josiah
Josiah De Disciple had a very close relationship with Buhle Manyathi before her statement on MacG’s podcast put a strain on their relationship. He is a South African DJ and record producer born Josiah Makoela on July 3rd, 1991. His birthplace is Alexandra in Gauteng, and he debuted his career in 2010.
The artist became known in the music scene as one-half of the amapiano DJ duo, JazziDisciples. Following their split in 2018, Josiah moved on to drop a debut studio album titled, ‘Spirits of Makoela, Vol. 2: The Reintroduction’ in 2020. That same year, he, alongside Boohle, released a collaborative album, ‘Umbuso Wabam’nyama’.
And one of the singles from the album, ‘Mama’ was a commercial success. The song was certified gold by the Recording Industry of South Africa (RISA).

Yes, Boohle is a proud mother of one child. She has a son whom she kept away from the scrutiny eye of the media for a while before showing him off in an Instagram post she shared while celebrating 2021 Mother’s Day.
