What would have been an ordinary shopping experience for shoppers at Bellville’s Middestad Mall was turned into an entertainment scene by a South African Flashmob.
The video of a South African flashmob has gone viral after the mob took shoppers at Hungry Lion at the mall by surprise. The talented dancers who appeared to be working at Hungry Lion put smiles on the faces of thousands of people on Wednesday.
Unsuspecting shoppers were taken unawares when the staff at the shop turned the place into a stage, displaying some South African on-point moves.
The dance which lasted for three minutes had spectators smiling and features young dancers displaying classic SA moves. They even enticed a number of shoppers to join in and easily carried them along as they moved to the rhythm of the song playing on the speaker.
Shoppers looked impressed with the performers and the performance as it took them unawares.
“I love to see people dancing and enjoying themselves,” said one shopper. “I did not expect to see something like this when I went to get my chicken!”
Of course anybody would have loved it.

It wasn’t long before the video went viral and by Friday, the video, dubbed #HungryLikeALion had already reached thousands of views.
The last time we had such a good laugh was when Idols SA judge Somizi stopped his car on the street and danced his a*s off to Ntombezinhle ‘DJ Zinhle’ Jiyane’s hit song, Colours. Watch him here.
Apparently, he’s a fan of the track and not ashamed to flaunt it. Most times, Somizi would post videos of himself driving around in his fancy cars and listening to the track. However, he couldn’t hold back this time. Thus, he parked his car by the roadside and displayed a few moves for the viewing pleasure of his fans.
