In case you missed it, a certain young woman swept The Voice SA coaches off their red chairs last night when she took the mic to sing Ordinary People by John Legend.
The season 2 of the singing competition is underway with the coaches scrambling to get the best talent in their group. Episode 3 of the competition was jam-packed with awesome talent. All four coaches including Bobby van Jaarsveld, Lira, Karen Zoid and Kahn Morbee were in battle mode. They begged, pleaded and bantered for the best talent.
While the stage was lit with outstanding talented singers, there was one talent that stood out from the rest. Amanda Faku broke a record when she took to the stage. Immediately she started singing, all four judges turned to get a clear view. As a result, she earned the fastest four-chair-turn in the history of the show.
After her audition, Amanda couldn’t believe the response she got. The compliments and the four-chair-turn literally made her feel on top of the world. “I’ve never been this happy in my life,” she said.

Surprisingly, Amanda, 23, was only performing for the very first time in front of an audience. Nonetheless, the young lady from Port Elizabeth performed John Legend’s hit so well that she had The Voice SA coaches (all four of them) begging for her attention. Eventually, Amanda chose Lira after much consideration.
Meanwhile, the coaches weren’t the only ones who got carried away by Amanda. As expected, Twitter was abuzz with compliments for the aspiring singer.
