TV Personality Kendall Jenner is obviously having one of those moments in life when everything you do literally falls apart.
For the supermodel, the last few weeks have shown that the number times you slayed on runway walks and millions of Instagram likes cannot protect you from social media backlash. Not even with a pretty face like hers.
The 21-year-old has had a string of media mishaps ranging from the infamous Pepsi ad, the Fyre Festival fiasco, making the list of worst dressed at the 2017 Met Gala and now she’s facing fresh backlash for appearing on the cover of Vogue India.
This comes barely a month after the reality TV star appeared in the controversial Pepsi ad video. On Wednesday, Jenner was under fire again after being spotted on the cover of the popular magazine.

As a result, Vogue has faced its share of the backlashes as folks blasted it online for its decision to feature Jenner, a white American, instead of an Indian model on the cover of its 10th anniversary issue. Consequently, a lot of people have said it’s yet another example of a missed opportunity to celebrate women of color as in the Pepsi ad.
In view of the recent development, a post by Vogue announcing the cover has attracted thousands of negative reactions from the public. Quite a lot of the people condemned the decision and expressed disappointment that the magazine did not hire a local model to grace the cover of such a historic issue.
Some Indians saw this as an insult and a bitter reminder of how much they have to struggle with colour discrimination in the country.
Notably, TV personality Kendall Jenner was made to appear darker in the picture used on the cover of the magazine. This may have been the photographer’s way of making her appear like an Indian.
