Uzalo has been on air since 2015 and it is the most-watched South African TV series. The episodes released last month were action-packed and got viewers stuck to their seats. Not only did Nomaswazi and Sibonelo reignite their romance, but Pastor Gwala took his relationship with Nosipho to the next level.

Nosipho and Pastor Gwala give Nkazimulo the assurance that there is no need for him to move out. Gabisile catches Nomaswazi with Sibonelo in the Mhlongo house. Nyawo seizes the moment with Sthabile.

Sibonelo discovers that Hlelo is concerned about the book KwaNjomane. On the other hand, Nyawo shows the police station a stolen selfie with Sthabile. Then, Sibonelo and Nomaswazi make up with a kiss after Nomaswazi’s weird behavior.

Nosipho and Pastor Gwala make plans for their wedding while Nkazimulo shows remorse for his actions. Sibonelo seems not to be bothered as Nomaswazi gets the shock of her life from Bab’Nsimbi. And Nyawo gets warned about interfering with other people’s relationships.

Episode 245: Tuesday, February 7th, 2023
The topic of fatherhood discussed on the radio affects Mondli’s mood. Nosipho and Gwala are touched by Nka’s interview. Nomaswazi behaves awkwardly around Bab’Nsimbi.

For their wedding preparations, Pastor Gwala takes Nosipho to Mzimkhulu. Wizard suggests that they flee from Philippe. Sibonelo, however, gets haunted by Philippe as he approves laundering through KwaNjomane.

Pastor Gwala, Nkazimulo, and Nkunzi embrace in a hug as they put the past behind them. Nosipho heads to her new home and is seen off by the Xulus.

The wedding is off to a good start. However, Mzwezwe and Screwdriver expect nothing but drama at the wedding. With Wizard’s disappearance, Sibonelo is left alone with a huge mess.

Mondli has a change of heart concerning his offspring. Sibonelo literally dodges a bullet as Hlelo continues with her investigation. And Nyawo faces the worst nightmare as his world crumbles down like the walls of Jericho.

Sibonelo, through the panel beater, launders more money. Colonel Mbaso consults her ancestors and the result doesn’t look good. Nka’s next project impresses Nosipho and Pastor Gwala.

Finally, Hlelo makes a decision to leave the building before things go awry. While Mondli’s efforts sit well with Nosipho, Pastor Gwala is not impressed. Gabisile packs out of the Mhlongo House.

A man’s life hangs in the balance as someone he wronged holds the key to his survival. Sibonelo coerces Hlelo into making a decision she doesn’t want to make. A wife defies her husband and brings their marriage into question.

Mondli accompanies Pastor Gwala and Nosipho to a gynecologist appointment and Gwala doesn’t seem happy about it. Nomaswazi and Sibonelo finally decide to announce their relationship and they plan a dinner for the announcement.

Mpendulo tells Nyawo to start preparing for his funeral. Pastor Gwala is not happy to hear that Mondli and Nosipho have taken an important decision regarding Muzi and he’s the last person to know about it. Dinner at the Magwaza’s goes sideways.

After witnessing Mthambisi murder someone, Gabisile calls Nkunzi. And she later throws up in the toilet. Mthambisi accuses Colonel Mbaso of betrayal.

Here comes another Uzalo episode for February 2023 with intriguing teasers. While a man resigns himself to fate, Gabisile is shaken to the core to discover that she has been sleeping with Satan. And the strong foundation of a marriage is shaken after a child’s paternity is revealed.

Njinji promises Bab’Nsimbi that she will kill Mthambisi. Gabisile, on the other hand, subtly says goodbye to Mthambisi. Then, Nkunzi is blackmailed by Nomaswazi.

The Magwazas mourn the death of their beloved Bab’Nsimbi. Mondli and the unborn baby threaten the harmony of Sambulo and Nosipho’s new marriage. Gabisile and Mthambisi’s date takes an unexpected turn for the worse.
Uzalo TV Series is Produced by Stained Glass Production
Owned by Gugu Zuma-Ncube and Kobedi Pokane, Stained Glass Productions is the production company behind the award-winning TV series, Uzalo. The soapie airs on weekdays; Mondays to Fridays on SABC1 at 8:30 PM. While Uzalo is created by Duma Ndlovu, Gontse Lekgetho and Mmamitse Thibedi work as the executive producers. Also, the series is produced by Hlongwe and Khumbulani.
Who’s Leaving or Joining Uzalo?
In November 2022, Omuhle Gela, who played Nomaswazi Magwaza, left Uzalo as the terms of her contract were allegedly changed. However, her character was replaced by Fanele Ntuli and she debuted as Nomaswazi on January 2nd, 2023. Also, Nkanyiso Mchunu joined the cast of Uzalo as Siphamandla “Wizard” Nkosi. He made his debut on January 10th, 2023.
Additionally, Pastor Gwala (Menzi Biyela) and Nosipho (Nompilo Maphumulo) will be leaving the soapie at the beginning of its ninth season in early 2023.
