Bert Kish (born on September 15, 1965; died May 24, 2017) was a Canadian film movie director and editor who was best known for his work on several movies, including Cypher (2002), Once a Thief (1996), and Power Play (1998) among others.<\/strong><\/p>\n Bert Kish was prolific with his work and was known to be a committed hard worker. Bert’s family is a film-making one, as his father and brother also did massive work in the film industry. He was married to Vanessa Trachewsky, with whom he had a son, Aris, before his death from a disease said to be cancer.<\/p>\n Bert Kish was born in the beautiful city of Montreal, located in the province of Quebec, Canada. This was also where he was raised by his family. The film editor was born on September 15, 1965.<\/p>\n Bert was raised in Canada in a Christian family. As a young child, he was taught Christian values and made to observe them. He and his brother attended church regularly and also developed a love for photography very early in their lives because of their father’s devotion to the art.<\/p>\n At some point, Bert Kish is reported to have relocated from Canada to the USA to pursue his career as a film editor and director. However, because of the kind of work he did, he constantly moved between the USA and Canada during his lifetime.<\/p>\n Bert Kish’s diverse cultural background was a fascinating aspect of his life story. Although he was born and raised in Canada, his family history reflected a connection to Hungary and the tumultuous events that shaped the country’s modern history.<\/p>\n According to our findings, Bert’s father, Albert Kish, was born in Hungary and lived there till he was an adult before a period of political upheaval in the country forced him to leave.<\/p>\n During the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, Albert was among the 200,000 refugees who fled the country in search of safety and stability. He eventually settled in Canada, where Bert Kish was later born and raised.
