Born Raymond Albert Kroc on October 5, 1902, Jane\u2019s ex-husband, now deceased, was regarded as one of the top businessmen in America for his role in turning the popular fast food chain McDonald\u2019s into the biggest fast food chain in American history.<\/p>\n

    The timeline of Jane Dobbins Green and Ray Kroc\u2019s first meeting was never documented but given that they got married in the early 1960s one can easily assume that they started dating officially around the same time. After a few years of dating, they got married in 1963.<\/p>\n

    Every account of Jane\u2019s marriage to Kroc suggests that he was her first husband but a look at the life and biography of the late businessman has revealed that Jane was his second wife. His marriage to Ethel Flemming, his ex-wife of 39 years (1922 – 1961) had just ended two years before he and Jane decided to settle down as man and wife.<\/p>\n

    Jane And Ray Divorced Because Of His Infidelity<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    No one would blame Jane for hoping that her marriage to Ray would last as long as his first marriage to Ethel, or even longer, but even she was shocked by the fact that the marriage lasted for only 5 years before ending in 1968. The reason for their divorce is a well-known story that involved the woman Ray eventually made his third wife.<\/p>\n

    Long before he met and married Jane, Ray had been having a secret affair with Joan Beverly Kroc nee Mansfield while he was married to his first wife Ethel. Several sources have revealed that Ray and Joan met at a restaurant event in 1957 and according to his biography, he had been stunned by her blonde beauty.<\/p>\n

    At that time, Joan was 28 years old and married to Rawland F. Rollie Smith with whom she\u00a0 had an 11-year-old daughter named Linda Smith at the time while Ray was 52 years old and equally married. Their marital status did not prevent either of them from pursuing a relationship with each other and Ray\u2019s interest in Joan led him to end his near 4-decade marriage to his first wife.<\/p>\n

    Ray had reportedly asked Joan to move in with him afterward but she had succumbed to societal and family pressure to end the relationship instead. They went their separate ways and Ray ended up marrying Jane Dobbins Green in 1963. Jane was left devastated in 1969 when her ex-husband invited his former mistress to a McDonald\u2019s convention in 1969 and that essentially put the seal to the end of their already flailing marriage.<\/p>\n

    Jane and Ray divorced 6 months after that convention and this time around, Joan also found the courage to end her own marriage to Smith. Jane\u2019s ex-husband and Joan were soon joined together in marriage not long after that and stayed married until Ray\u2019s death in 1984 from a heart problem.<\/p>\n

After their divorce, however, Jane seemingly withdrew from the public and media\u2019s view. While trying to uncover the celebrity ex-wife\u2019s source of income, several outlets have mistaken her for English-born American author Jane Green.<\/p>\n

    While both Janes essentially share the same last name, they are two different people with a massive age difference between them.
